We also have a 13 year old German Shepherd who won't be with us very much longer. I have always had shepherds but we are looking forward to having something a bit smaller. Have since found out that they are predisposed to hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), which may cause seizures...I am now the owner of Animal's Apawthecary, a herb business that addresses the need of dogs and cats in a holistic manner. I have much info on many problems being caused by vaccinations and feel the need to tell everyone about these problems with our companion animals. For instance, hip dysplasia, in certain dogs is CAUSED by the rabies vaccine!!! I've lost two precious dogs in the last 4 years and traced it back to vaccinations.
